In the mountainous fields of Nanxiong, Shaoguan, Guangdong, a group of children with big dreams face challenges in receiving proper health education due to limited resources. We use the money that we fundraised brought every children gifts that contains sports equipments and study utensils.
We hosted this public lecture to focused on nutrition and sports health, using fun games to help children learn about their bodies. It wasn’t just about teaching; it was also about encouraging kindness. Our aim was to promote healthy living and build a strong foundation for their future.

The growth process of vegetation
Although some of them are not familiar with nutrition knowledge, we began by discussing plants they were familiar with, exploring the details of photosynthesis and the plant growth cycle.
我们从孩子们熟悉的植物讲起,探讨光合作用和植物生长周期的奥秘。虽然孩子们了解植物的生长,但对其中的科学原理并不熟悉。通过简单的演示图,我们生动地讲解了植物吸收营养的过程,并让孩子们明白,植物与人体所需的营养有所不同。借此引出基本的营养学知识。
In the nutrition session, we started by exploring the children’s everyday foods—eggs, vegetables, rice, chicken, pork, beef, and fruit—asking about their nutritional values. We then gave an in-depth explanation of the three primary nutrients—carbohydrates, proteins, and fats—along with the four essential nutrients: water, dietary fiber, minerals, and vitamins, highlighting their vital roles in the body.
在营养环节中,我们从孩子们日常饮食中的食物入手,提问他们每天吃的鸡蛋、青菜、米饭、鸡肉、猪肉、牛肉、水果等食物的营养成分。发现孩子们对所吃食物的营养价值了解不深后,我们详细讲解了三大营养物质(碳水化合物、蛋白质、脂肪)以及其他四类营养(水、膳食纤维、矿物质、维生素)对身体的影响。随后,我们展示了一日饮食的营养分配表,并设计了一个“我是营养师”的画图游戏,让孩子们在白纸上画出自己做过或想做的一道菜,并分享这道菜的营养成分及其对身体的好处。
We educated the children on common sports injuries and their treatment, with many eagerly sharing their daily exercise routines. Emphasizing the importance of developing body-protection habits during elementary and middle school, we introduced the seven major muscle groups, focusing on the critical role of ankle protection. Since the ankle supports the body’s weight, untreated injuries can lead to long-term consequences affecting physical activity and daily life.
We taught the children how to assess ankle injuries and explained the R.I.C.E. method (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation). To conclude, we demonstrated six key warm-up and stretching exercises to prevent injuries to the ankles, knees, and thighs.
我们向孩子们讲解了常见的运动伤害及处理方法,许多孩子兴奋地分享了他们的运动习惯。小学和初中阶段,养成保护身体的习惯至关重要。我们介绍了七大肌肉群,特别强调了脚踝的保护,脚踝承载全身重量,受伤后若不及时处理,可能影响运动和日常生活。我们教孩子们评估脚踝伤势,并详细讲解了R.I.C.E治疗法,最后展示了六个预防脚踝、膝盖和大腿伤病的热身和拉伸动作。
